HOW TO SUBMIT

To audition for Bone Wars, email the following materials and information to bonewarscasting@gmail.com. (You may also submit via Backstage, if preferred.)

  • Your headshot & resume

  • A self-tape that includes both:

    • 32 bars of a musical theater song of your choosing, preferably with a rock/folk influence

    • a comedic monologue of your choosing

  • Please be sure the following information is included on your resume, in your self-tape, or in the body of your email:

    • Name

    • Preferred pronouns

    • Dance experience

    • Clown or mask experience

Important Dates

  • March 15 - In-Person Callbacks

  • April 26 - First Rehearsal

  • June 18 - First Performance

  • July 26 - Final Performance

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule Details: Rehearsals will take place Sundays from noon - 6 pm and Monday - Thursday evenings 7 pm - 10 pm. Tech rehearsal times may differ. Performances will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 2 pm. There will be no performances the week of July 4th. Please only submit an audition if you are available for all performances.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Payment: All cast members will receive a $1,000 flat rate.

Location: Bone Wars will perform at the Players Theatre at 115 MacDougal St in New York City. Rehearsals will take place in Manhattan and Brooklyn, exact locations TBD. Bone Wars is unable to provide travel or housing, therefore performers must be able to work locally in the New York City area.

Judge Tops

A quick-witted, efficient triceratops judge who presides over a cosmic courtroom. Please be aware that this character will wear a headpiece that will weigh up to ~3 lbs.


Bailiff Rex

Age: Any age 21+ | Gender: Any | Race/Ethnicity: Any

A tyrannosaurs bailiff with no patience for silliness. Please be aware that this character will wear a headpiece that will weigh up to ~3 lbs.


Terry

Age: Any age 21+ | Gender: Any | Race/Ethnicity: Any

A neurotic pterodactyl with a heart of gold. Please be aware that this character will wear a headpiece that will weigh up to ~3 lbs.

Steggs

A cynical stegosaurus from France. Please be aware that this character will wear a headpiece that will weigh up to ~3 lbs.


Vel
